Dear Artists:

The annual “Anchor Splash” event is just around the corner.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 12, 2017, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and is once again promising to be a successful event. This year's venue is Rob & Suzanne Bizzell's residence, 148 Hoop Pole Creek Drive, in Atlantic Beach, NC.  This annual art show and sale benefits the Community Council for the Arts.

All participating artists will receive a free ticket to this event, otherwise tickets to attend are $35 and are available at the "Tickets" link button above, or may be purchased at the Arts Center. There is no charge to enter your work in this event.

Traditionally, we have found that artists who attend events like Anchor Splash have a greater potential of sales than those artists not in attendance. Not only do we hope you will  attend this event, but we also encourage you to promote Anchor Splash to others in the community and region.  Remember, the more people in attendance, the greater the potential for sales!

All artwork submitted for this exhibit and sale must be framed or matted/shrink wrapped or in plastic sleeves.  3-D work including textiles, sculpture, glass, metals and pottery must be suitable for display.  Each artist is limited to three (3) works.  We are providing you with three (3) labels at the bottom of this page for identification of your work.  Please attach these labels to the back of your work prior to the time of submission.  The Arts Council staff will be responsible for transporting your work to and from the event venue and displaying it for sale.  All work must be for sale.  The Arts Council will retain a 35% commission on any work sold, so please price your work accordingly!  Payment for sold pieces will be within 30 days of the sale.  Art needs to arrive at the Arts Center on Thursday, July 27, or Friday, July 28, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., or on Saturday, July 29, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

We hope to see your work entered for this wonderful event. This is a terrific way you can have exposure in the community and extended region, sell your work and support the Arts Council!
