Biography and Statement Of Mary Page Whitley

Mary Page Whitley resides in Kinston, North Carolina with her husband Bob Whitley. She graduated from East Carolina University and taught in the public schools. She later returned to ECU to study with Paul Hartley.

Her recent studies have been with Ian Roberts, West Fraser,Peggy Kroll-Roberts, Scott Christensen, Rick McClure, Camille Przewodek and Ovanes Bererian.

She is a plein-air painter as well as a studio painter and enjoys participating in paint-out on art travels across the USA and Europe.

"I try to capture a moment in time that I am participating in and hopefully be able to share that moment with others. Art is truly a universal phenomenon that has transcended all barriers of time, space and cultures. To be a part of this world is breathtaking and fulfills a passion within me."
