The
Community Council for the Arts incites all non-profit
groups, organizations and agencies in Lenoir County to
apply for Grassroots Arts Programs. These grants are intended to assist
organizations in producing new or existing arts
programming which the organizations themselves plan.
Applications may be picked up at the Arts
Center located at 400 North Queen Street in downtown
Kinston.
These subgrants are made available through the
Grassroots Arts Program allocation to Lenoir County from
the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency.
The Community Council for the Arts is the local
distributing agent for these funds.
Congratulations to the 2007-2008 Grassroots Grant Recipients!
The Community Council for the Arts would like to Congratulate the recipients of this year’s Grassroots Grants. The CCA has been the designated County Partner with the North Carolina Arts Council- a state agency, for the distribution of the subgrant Grassroots dollars within our community since the inception of the program in 1977.
