About Rozlyn Sorrell...
Actress and singer Rozlyn Sorrell has been praised as a truly gifted, undiscovered gem by audiences fortunate enough to hear her in recent concert appearances. She made her debut appearance with the North Carolina Symphony in Koka Booth Ampitheatre in Regency Park and will perform with the symphony in their complete 13-stop Holiday Pops statewide tour this winter. In fall 2009, she appears opposite Lynda Clark in Theatre in the Park's production of the acclaimed play "Master Class."
A New York native, Rozlyn spent a number of years performing in music and film in Los Angeles before relocating to North Carolina. She has performed or recorded with artists including Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Al Jarreau, Cece Winans and others, and has appeared as guest soloist in some of the nation's noted cathedrals. Commercial, film and television appearances include Diplomatic Immunity, Nightmare on Elm Street III, General Hospital and Matlock. She operates Vocal Precision Studio, a private voice-training studio near Raleigh, NC while also accommodating expanded concert touring throughout the country. Her distinctive voc
al talent displays a clarity of presence and regal bearing, whether she's performing popular standards, semi-classical favorites or sharing heartfelt traditional spiritual and contemporary gospel repertoire. She was selected by Southern Arts Federation to appear in professional juried showcase at the 2009 Performing Arts Exchange. Ms. Sorrell works with musician and conductor, Raleigh Medal of Arts recipient McCrae Hardy as her concert-touring musical director.
