    Stars Dance for the Arts
    7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)
    Our annual Stars Dance For The Arts features "stars" in our community dancing to raise funds for the Community Council for the Arts. Each couple performs an exciting and expertly choreographed dance in the hopes of becoming the champions of Stars Dance for the Arts Mirror Ball Trophy!

    38th Annual CCA-NCE
    This national competition and show is open to any US citizen, 18 years and older. Awards include: Best in Show, 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and five (5) additional non-cash merit awards. Juried entries will be displayed in the Hampton Gallery. All other entries will be displayed in the Minges, Rayner and Children’s Galleries.

    Soup & A Bowl
    11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    This event is held annual event is held at the Arts Center and is a fundraiser benefiting the Community Council for the Arts. Admission includes salad, beverage, dessert, unlimited soup and a hand-crafted pottery bowl. Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 ages five to 12, and free admission for children under five (no bowl).

    BBQ Festival on the Neuse
    The Largest BBQ Festival in North Carolina -- in Downtown Kinston!

    Anchor Splash
    6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    An Art Show and Sale at the beach! The evening features summertime fun with live entertainment, cookout, beverages & assorted wines. Tickets $35 – Casual Dress (sales tax included) All Proceeds Benefit Community Council for the Arts

    Summer Camps
    Mark you calendar for Summer Camps at the Arts Center. We look forward to your participation! Here is some general information about our camps.

    Annual Fall Gala
    6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
    A themed evening featuring a live auction, silent auction, heavy hors d'oeuvres, open bar & entertainment. This year is Spooky Soiree. Join us with your best Halloween costume.
  8. NOV
    Business After Hours
    5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    This social, net-working event is associated with the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce. This event features an introduction of the dancers participating in Stars Dance for the Arts 2018. The evening includes a reception honoring Lenoir County Artist League members and local artists in our galleries in November. Entertainment is provided by T.A.P.S. Jazz Ensemble. This event is free and open to the public.

    Holly Jolly Holiday Show
    This annual seasonal event is held at the Kinston Community Center 2602 W. Vernon Avenue in Kinston. Friday and Saturday holiday shopping. Visit the Holly Jolly website:

    Gingerbread House Workshop
    11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    Bring the family and decorate a gingerbread house of your very own. (Children under eight-years-old must be accompanied by an adult.) $20 per gingerbread house; reservations required. Contact us at 252-527-2517 for details and to reserve your space.
