Promoting the Arts:  Stars Dance for the Arts

February 9, 2019
Doors open 6:30 p.m.

THANK YOU to all our dancers for participating in our 7th Annual Stars Dance For The Arts  (SDFA)! It is a
star-studded, action-packed event hosted by Vickie Robinson and Wells Gulledge. SDFA 2019 will feature superstar couples dancing to generously raise funds for Kinston’s Community Council for the Arts. Each couple will perform an exciting and expertly choreographed dance. We appreciate the participation of these dancers and for their support!

Dance Training: "I think I've spent my entire life dancing! I'm formally trained in                                                                  ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern dance, hip hop, and as an adult I even studied belly                                                              dance!"

Education and Work Experience: Allie attended cosmetology school at Lenoir
Community College and is a stylist at Beauty Box Salon and Day Spa.

Background & Interests: Allie is originally from Raleigh, grew up in Rocky Mount, and has lived all over Eastern North Carolina, but she says, “I'm proud to call Kinston my adopted home for the last 15 years.” Allie says her favorite travel destination is Hatteras Island and Washington, DC. She volunteers backstage doing hair for Miss Neuse and the Distinguished Young Women of Lenoir County Programs. She is also a proud member of the North Lenoir Drama Boosters and creating hair and makeup magic backstage.

What does Allie like about Lenoir County? "There is so much I love about Lenoir County, but what I love most is the people that make up our community. I've met some of the most genuine, loving, wonderful people here and that makes for a strong sense of community that I've never experiened anywhere else."

What is Allie looking forward to by participating in this event? "After participating in last year's event, I can't imagine NOT doing it! It's so much fun to support the arts in our community this way and get to make new friends while we're at it."
